DIY Button Necklace

This week my daughter and I hosted a play date and we made button necklaces!
Supplies Needed:
Buttons
Bakers Twine, Thin Ribbon, or Stretch Magic
Tape (you will need to tape the threading end if you are using twine or ribbon)

Instructions:
Measure twine/ribbon around your child's wrist and neck
Make several knots on one end of the twine/ribbon so your buttons don't slip off
Tape the other end to help threading
Start stringing buttons
Once you have the desired amount of buttons bring both ends of the string together and tie in a knot.
Tada! Our sweet neighbor girl modeling her button necklace!

This activity was a lot of fun and was the perfect activity on a rainy day.

I'm also sharing this fun activity today over at The Little Style File

Friday's Party Feature: Baby's 1st Pink, Mint n Gold Party

I am so excited to share my sweet friend Trish (from Pink Preppy Lilly Lover) daughter's first birthday with all of you today! This party is full of sweet preppiness from the adorable monogram cupcake toppers to the adorable party decor, and dress her sweet little lady wore on her special day!

I love the chalkboard print and the gold mason flower jar!

Best part is Trish shares in full detail on her blog, Pink Preppy Lilly Lover on how you can also make a chalk board print for a fraction of the cost and how to make adorable glitter jars.

Darling way to feature paper straws!

 Love the tasseled garland

Someone enjoyed their yummy cake!

And the ADORABLE family!

When I saw all the images Trish was posting I just knew you all would love this party as much as I do!
Thank you Trish for allowing me to share your little lady's 1st Birthday!

This piece also make a great fall outfit by pairing it with leggings and a cardigan.

I can't resist the Elle dress!
Just might have to add this darling piece to my daughter Elle's closest.
Also available in lilac
Another fun print is the Christina dress

and for the tween girl in your life this Wren tunic is so pretty!

A lot of pieces are currently marked down 30-50%

4th of July Recap

We celebrated our first 4th of July holiday here in Austin with a day full of swimming with friends, a BBQ, and watching fireworks in one of our city's park that is only a few blocks away from our neighborhood. The best part was the weather! It was so nice to sit outside and not be sweating in 110 degree weather. Elle loved the fireworks as she has never seen them before {always sleeping} and now she has been asking for fireworks every night.

Loving our Texas summer and all the new memories we are making.
